    Validity period basically is the date, start with the activation of your SIM card, during which you are allowed to make and receive the calls.

    Yes, All Nepal roaming is available.

    What should I do if my SIM is damage?

    Damage SIM would be replaced with the same number for a replacement fee of Rs.283/- from any of our distributor/Customer Care Center of the city. At the time of replacement the customer is required to submit identity proof and a copy of citizen or driving license.

    What should I do if my SIM is lost?

    A new SIM with the same number would be made available after filling up the form of the lost SIM and a deposit of Rs. 283/- as a replacement charge from any of our distributor/Customer Service Center. The balance amount shall be transferred to new SIM. At the time of receiving new SIM, the customer should submit identity proof and a copy of citizen or driving license.

    How to check the balance and validity?

    Dial *901# from your mobile, in some seconds the balance and the validity of your amount will be displayed on your phone screen.

    What should I do when the validity of my card’s expired? What will happen to the amount, which is still available unutilized in my number?

    After the validity of card is expired, the connection(SIM Card) is required to be recharged by the scratch card or Virtually Transfer Money. This recharge should be done within the grace period of 6 months if you want your balance unutilized also to be credited along with the net call value of the new charge through which you are charging.

    During grace period no calls are allowed except emergency(toll free) and IVR call.

    These scratch cards are available in different denominations of Rs. 300(with validity of 42 days), Rs. 500 (with validity of 182 days), Rs.1000 (with the validity period of 1 year). Also you can do VFT (Virtual Fund Transfer) which are available from the domination of Rs.50 to 99.99(with validity of 7 days), Rs.100 to 199.99 (with validity of 14 days), Rs. 200 to 299.99 (with validity of 28 days).

    Validity period will start from the day of latest recharge.

    What is recharge card?

    It is a card containing 13 digits secret code to extend your prepaid account. When you purchase a recharge card, scratch the hidden portion on the recharge card to know the secret code. Dial 900 and you will be connected to IVR prompt menu, choose option 2 to recharge, you will then ask to enter 13 digits code. Enter the code followed by #, your account is activated. OR you could dial *902# followed by 13 digits code and # then push call button. You will receive a message saying "your payment is received".

    Expire of validity period?

    When your prepaid period has expired, your account will get deactivated. But you will get the grace period of 3 months during which you can reactive your prepaid card by recharging it. You will not be able to make or receive any calls.

    What is pulse? Is it same for incoming and outgoing calls?

    It is the minimum time period for which call is charged. It is only for outgoing calls. For example if the pulse rate is 20 seconds and call charge is Re. 1 per pulse then it means that every 20 seconds Re. 1 will be charged i.e. for one minute call (60 seconds) 20*3=Rs.3/- shall be charged.

    For international, Air time will be added.

    I am having a problem in sending and receiving SMS

    In case of sending SMS, please check the message center number (+9779800009000) is correct or not. For subsequent problem, check whether you have free space left or not(memory box). If problem still continues, please contact our Call center 9005 for further assistance.

    How can one send E-mail through his Mero Mobile?

    Dial 900 and follow the prompts to activate SMS2email. Once you are done with activation, go to message and type email address followed by space and then your message. After composing your message send it to destination 9205. For example: " friends@hotmail.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it hello how r u?"

    What is WAP/GPRS?

    WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) is mobile internet technology that allows mobile phone to access certain internet sites, specifically created for mobile phone that uses text and graphics to fit the screen of your mobile screen.

    GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) is the service that delivers data at the high speeds to mobile phones. It is the technology that helps WAP to allow fast and easy access.

    How can I activate WAP/GPRS?

    To activated the service, you could send SMS to 900224 with text "A" and you will receive a confirmation message from the server. You will need to do necessary setting in your handset, (for that you could check our mobile internet section). Or you can contact Customer Care office.

    Can I make and receive calls during the use of WAP/GPRS?

    You will be able to make or receive calls if only you are not downloading anything or transferring data at the time. If you so desire to make calls during the process of downloading, you may have to disconnect from the browser before doing so.

    Can any mobile handset support WAP/GPRS?

    Only GPRS compatible mobile will support and can access the service. Please check your phone manual to comfirm whether mobile is compatible or not.

    I can’t connect to WAP/GPRS, what could be wrong?

    Please check your GPRS setting is still saved to your mobile phone. If not you will have to reconfigure again or contact our Customer Care office for assistance.

    You must aslo be in our coverage area in order to get access. And once you have activated the service, do make sure you do turn of your mobile phone and then back on again before starting to browse.

    What is MMS?

    MMS(Mutimedia Message Service) is the service that allows to sending not only text message but along with that share image/picture with music from MMS compatible handset.

    How can I activate MMS service and how much will it cost?

    To activate MMS, send an SMS to 900226 with text “A” or you can contact our Customer Care office for further assistance.

    It costs Rs.5 per each MMS message sent.

    What if the person I am sending MMS, does not have MMS compatible phone?

    If the person does not have MMS compatible phone set, they will receive an SMS. For example: "U have a picture message" with the address of website which they can view the message.

    Is there a limit of size of MMS message?

    It is Unlimited.

    Why can’t I send/receive/download MMS messages?

    It may be of three reasons:

    • Check whether your handset support MMS or not.
    • Check whether MMS is save to your mobile phone or not. If not, refer to our MMS section in this site or contact our Customer Care Center and will send you the configuration setting via SMS.
    • Make sure the service is activated.

    How can we get the SIM card and from which outlets?


    To get the SIM you should purchase Rs.100 recharge card from SNPL Customer Care (Krishna Tower, Pulchwok, Pokhara and Biratnagar) and from a selected authorized Dealer’s customer care, marked with a special campaign signage.

    Can I register the SIM card in my friend’s name or in other relative’s name?


    The concerned person should be present while issuing the SIM card along with his/her original documents and photo.

    Which documents should be submitted to participate in the scheme?


    To Participate in the Scheme, you should present original and copy of Citizenship/License/Passport/Government ID and 1 PP size Photo.

    I have already had a SIM registered in my name. So in the new scheme how many SIM can I get?


    You can register the campaign SIM card but not more than 3 SIM in one name.

    If I purchase a recharge card worth Rs.100 from any other outlet, am I eligible for the scheme or not?


    This Campaign is valid only if you purchase the recharge card from SNPL Customer care or from authorized dealer’s Customer Care.

    How long is the duration of the scheme?

    No, it is not necessary to top up the recharge card to the same SIM.

    When Rs.99 will be deducted from balance in the service "Mero Bonus 1=2"?

    The subscriber can start using the service as soon as the service is added. The service will be added within 60 minutes after service activation actions are taken.

    Among the total call value of NRS 350.00, the NRS 100.00 of main balance account could be used for any direction calls as well as for buying any VAS services whereas bonus account of NRS 250.00 could be used only for on - net calls, on – net SMS, MMS and GPRS.

    Can I use this bonus account of NRS 250.00 for activating any MERO mobile services?


    No, you cannot use this bonus account for buying any periodic or onetime services (i.e. Voicemail, SMS 2 Email, PRBT….) and as well you cannot use this bonus account balance for sending SMS to short numbers.

    Is there any validity of this NRS 250.00?


    Yes, this bonus account of NRS 250.00 has to be finished within 31 days. If you do not finish this amount in 31 days, then the balance will be collapsed automatically.
